Skiers exercising a social conscience for homeless Japanese people.

Liquid Snow Tours, an Australian-based ski touring company have given skiers the heads up that old or unused ski clothing is much needed and destined for Japanese people displaced by this year's tsunami.

Freezing temperatures persist and will do so well into Japan's spring. Beanies, mittens, underclothes, jackets and warm clothes are desperately needed and welcomed.

UPDATE ON SKI CLOTHES DRIVE:

Awesome work, skiers. A total of 924 'likes' on facebook and a massive container ship load of warm clothes donated from concerned Aussie skiers/ citizens as well as generous box loads from Australian ski companies. It's amazing what we can achieve when we work together, and for me, I'm happy to think my North Face polar fleece purchased in Hamamatsu has made it's way back to the homeland :)
