Local news networks lead the weather segments with the heading 'Where is Winter?'as mid to higher USA states strugge to achieve even average winter tempratures. Winter is coming,newsreaders promise.
Australia, where I come from is experiencing a similar occurrence. Sydney, usually has great summers. But the current one is wet and chilly st times. A beach holiday may not be spent on the beach. To me, it appears the seasons are in delay-mode.
So,
Why don't we call it- Winter starts January ( northern hemisphere )
Summer starts January ( southern hemisphere).
Radical? Not so.
Evything on Earth starts with an idea, usually a result of something. Look at Daylight Saving, the invention of the telephone or space travel.
